About OGOS

 

OGOS - Oil and Gas Operations Services, was set up to provide a professional response to various needs or problems identified in the oil and gas industry. OGOS founders were driven to establish the company to help the industry meet some important needs and demands:

 o A requirement for experienced and independent staff to:

Assess safety and technical status of existing facilities and define improvement measures
o Review existing operations organization and propose manning structures adapted to local conditions and aimed at achieving safe and cost-effective activities
o Define and help to develop cost-effective production and maintenance strategies adapted to operator's culture and local conditions to improve plant availability and/or throughput.

Shortage of skilled resources within both operations and engineering companies to:

 
o Help operators to define their requirements in new developments or modification of existing plant and interface with design houses to ensure respect of client's views throughout design and engineering
o Assist engineering teams throughout the development process to design operator-friendly facilities tailored to client's needs for safe and cost-effective operation for field life
o Provide operational expertise and assistance related to the above key factors during crucial development phases such as commissioning and start-up of new or revamped plant.

o Need for operations-orientated resources to:

  o Assess skills and competence required to operate existing or future plants, define and supervise the associated recruitment, selection and training program
o Define all technical documentation required to safely and cost-efficiently operate oil and gas plants and supervise the development of safety and operating manuals.

OGOS - Oil and Gas Operations Services was set up in December 2002 by Guy Menou, who has more than thirty years of onshore and offshore operational and development projects experience worldwide with a major oil and gas exploration and production company. Company offices are located in South of France and services can be provided worldwide, either in client's head offices or on operations sites.
